memories … picture-less post

The last few weeks been all about memories …

the Round Hill art show week was all about memories of Jamaica; places I grown up, spots I’d been to and t’ings I’d seen and done … and the Jamaican art i produced on the back of it.

Then my uncle died and we all gathered for the funeral in Moneague and then Montego Bay for the party to see his duppy off in style – he was young, only 7 years older, so he was as close to me as he was to my mother – and we all had stories to tell:

many of them included car crashes, all of them included red stripe and rum …

and all this, these times and places – the incidents of life … they’re all there in the art
