Dready art Horse/Krispy Kreme 20×30 –
did i mention i love a horse …
i don’t ride so much any more, once every couple of years i get on, but there was a time when i rode every day for ‘work’; i would ride every day now if it were easy … i been riding all my life from i was a yute; people used to take me on horses as a baby, grandpa let me ride the mule from i was small small … i love a horse.
the other day i was looking through some photos, and saw one of a horse that caught my eye (did i mention i love a horse …) and i set it aside in a file, and then, i was looking at the drawing I did of the polo girl, an i got the urge to draw another horse.
and this dready is the end result; the building of an image around the horse … the broken, old fashioned, ‘sugar copper’ on the hillside is a ‘throwback’ to older days at a place called goshen, where horses and grandparents were part of the furniture … rolling green hills of memory, dogs and clear blue skies …
memories, nuh …
