my father built houses, he built several here in Cayman, down in whitehall estates off 7 mile beach road, way back in the never never …

in Jamaica he didn’t really build houses he built road beds and site beds for heavy construction to go on top of … the man who lives in one of the whitehall houses said to me one day ‘you should come and see the ceiling’ – I hadn’t seen the ceiling since i was a small small boy – ‘the woodwork of the ceiling’ he continued ‘is a work of art’.
