this dready was part of a National Gallery of Cayman’s show called tidal shifts: a show about cultural identities.

“…for me, this dready is really as much about the goat as about the man; the common goat in the Caribbean, in Jamaica, is a mixture of many goat breeds, dating back to the 1600’s; having arrived with the very first european ‘settlers’ as a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese criollo goats and has since been bred with other kinds of european and african goats …”
