i like london …

i first saw it when i was 8, a little boy come to buy school uniforms and t’ing … it was big and noisy; bigger than kingston yes, but the noise was different, less music more haste, less the smell of cooking but more food … i’d already been to miami, to mexico city, to toronto … but the haste in london seemed constant to my little ness.

then i was gone back to the americas and i never visited london again, after i left boarding school at 12, till i was in my 30’s …

it has charmed me since then; it is a great vibrant city that retains its village feel (ish) despite its sprawling untidy-ness.
