dready on a different medium

Dready, Dready Art and Everything Dready

dready catboat ‘yard fowl’ printed on to acrylic and mounted – kimpton seafire

we’ve done dready printed on the usual t’ings, every day it’s on canvas and 360 gsm watercolour paper,

the dready ‘blue marlin, white marlin, black marlin, Bob…’ is printed directly on to aluminium …

i used to think that Andi’s original Bob, on the aluminium, was the bees knees … well it is the bees knees ’cause it has this glow-through that the aluminium has given it, a certain texture … I had to get that printed in the UK ’cause at the time I couldn’t find a US firm that could cope with getting the inks to bond to the medium …

but now this, this dready on acrylic is amazing lovely …

Andrew asked me last night, after I sent him the pic of it, if one could take the backgrounds out and just have the cat-boat floating across the acrylic … i like the thought of that.

dready is very fortunate …

bless up …

About Dready

Dready art is a 100% caribbean product: it was imagined here, designed here, tested here – in barbados, bvi, cayman, grenada and jamaica – we live here and are from here, our children were born here, I draw it here (mostly, cause sometimes I draw it when I’m traveling!). So despite what has become the kind of global reach of dready art we try to think of ourselves as a little caribbean company just doing our thing.
