dready art ‘itopia-ish’ – image
somewhere down in the slog of words, below in this blog, is some chat ’bout a lovely day spent at this house …
and I’ve wanted to draw it since then ….
but actually it was an image of a woman – two women separately, really – leaning in a doorway(s) that brought me back; ’cause I thought this would be a better doorway for a woman to be leaning in.
but but but, before I got to her leaning in a doorway I came across this woman frolicking in Jamaica … the usual beautiful hidden cool jamaican places of wood and water …
and that, that led me to a series of photos featuring this woman and her life somewhere else, and her leaning in a doorway – the table and chairs on the left were part of that life, and I was inspired to put them in this – so, woman, Jamaica and a doorway.
but in the end, outside of the inspiration she provided for the idea, the table and chairs are the only part of her that made this drawing …
then a photo of a man and a very nice haircut and an awesome beard … and he reminded me of the man who used to own this house; maybe him in his younger days …
so a woman leaning in a doorway and now a man … I was going to put him sitting in the chair but there was an empty space to the left of the house that I felt needed to have your attention drawn to it …
in reality the surrounds of this house are big and lush, full of verdant green-ness, there’s no vast open spaces … but I wanted some space … wanted a place to put the chicken!
peace …
