and yet pretty cool to look at …

I drew this for a family that had just lost a cat that was dear to them; they’d asked me if I would do a portrait of the cat and add it to an existing dready … I decided to strip everything out but the background and slip the cat into it … seemed like a pretty cat-like space.

people love cats, eh … soft, tactile, care-free – stroking them seems to give people ease and comfort … I read an article not so long ago about cat cafes where you go and stroke the cats … and one of my favourite coffee shops has resident cats and you see people leave the coffee shop to go and feed the cat, wondering the garden, something as a treat and crouch down and talk to them …
