I had had no idea about what I was going to say until John made his talk before me and since his was about where he’d begun and the process of then and now, I just did the same show, different story …

to my right, fortunately, is moko jumbies, the dready that is in the biennial … and i spoke about the difference between stick figure dreadys and something more ‘realised’ like Moko Jumbies … and how both are the same voice in different languages.

Dready art is a 100% caribbean product: it was imagined here, designed here, tested here – in barbados, bvi, cayman, grenada and jamaica – we live here and are from here, our children were born here, I draw it here (mostly, cause sometimes I draw it when I’m traveling!).
