there are still a few spots here, they’re getting fewer and fewer, that don’t feel like they’ve been complately ‘americanized’, that don’t feel like they’ve lost their island flavour … this, at the edge of west bay public beach is one of them.

the family particularly wanted this bent palm tree, the tree was the thing, everything else was to be secondary to that, and for me this angle was the best way to show it and to show a bit of unspoilt ironshore, still showing the signs of old boat building and boat ramps, and untouched, un-built-upon beach …
