we were out to photograph and look at a villa at tryall for a pitch at a commission, and we wondered down to the golf course to see the house in the distance … and this was the shot back up to the house … and then I peopled it!
jonathan routh was a famous british painter that painted whimsical scenes of round hill and tryall … one of his series depicted queen victoria on secret holiday in jamaica and so tucked into the art is an homage to routh with queen victoria riding an elephant.
