the history of these islands is told in tales of turtling … and not just the island where i live, but those small cays and harbours and sand spits from cuba to nicaragua, and the southern caribbean coast of mexico, cayman, jamaica, belize … in places with names like miskito cay, pedro bank, corn island, man o’ war cay, swan island, isla de las mujeres, tunerief … and so I kinda felt that I should draw some turtles and so I did, this and another called ‘turtles’
